Iran ‘Chocolate’ well received by audience members in India

‘Chocolate’ directed by Soheil Movaffagh has received a warm welcome during screening at India’s The Golden Elephant festival.

Iranian children's film ‘Chocolate’ directed by Soheil Movaffagh garners warm reception at screening in the Golden Elephant Festival, India.

The film was screened on November 9 at the 20th International Children's Film Festival - The Golden Elephant held in Indian state of Hyderabad.

“Everything starts with a box of chocolate… That means I was a kid… When you are a kid, chocolate is the most adorable taste in the world,” a brief synopsis for the film read.

The film stars actors such as Shabnam Moghaddam, Nasser Hashemi, Mohammad-Reza Hedayati and Arzhang Amirfazli.

The Golden Elephant, which started on November 8 and will be underway until November 14, is a biennial festival that strives to bring the most imaginative and delightful international and national children’s cinema to young audiences in India.

The festival presents features, shorts, live action and animation films over seven days of festive celebrations attended by more than one hundred thousand children, hundreds of film professionals and eminent guests from around the world.
